☕️ marketing headlines of the week
Fernand, Analog, Morgen

Good morning!
Welcome back to H1 Gallery.
I recently moved my other newsletter (Workspaces) over to beehiiv and would love if you’d check it out! Sent to your inbox every Saturday morning and has been going strong since 2020.

Alright… let’s talk H1s!
— Ryan (@rjgilbert)

Fernand's marketing headline "The fastest, calmest customer support experience for SaaS ever made." is very direct and works well for these reasons:
"Fastest" and "calmest" being used in the same headline (and back to back words) creates an intriguing contrast of speed without the typical chaos or stress that comes with it
This combination suggests that Fernand has solved the speed-vs-quality dilemma
"Ever made" is a bold superlative that creates confidence and sets high expectations (but can they live up to it?)
Specifically targets "SaaS" to clearly identify the intended market
"Calmest" addresses the emotional frustration customers typically feel with support
"Experience" emphasizes the holistic customer journey, not just individual and isolated problem resolution
Appeals to both SaaS companies (who want efficient support management) and their customers (who want calm yet quick interactions/solutions)
Ultimately addresses the two key pain points in customer support of slow response times and stressful interactions

Analog's marketing headline "Beyond Scheduling. A calendar that understands your life." works well for these reasons:
"Beyond Scheduling" immediately positions Analog as more than a basic calendar app like Google Calendar
The period after "Beyond Scheduling." creates a dramatic pause that emphasizes the evolution beyond traditional calendaring and sets the tone for the next statement of the H1
This two-sentence structure creates progression from limitation to possibility
"A calendar that understands your life" suggests AI intelligence and evolving contextual awareness
Hints at focusing on holistic life management rather than just time slots and recurring meetings
"Your life" personalizes the message and implies a more complete lifestyle integration
Appeals to people frustrated with calendars that don't account for real-world complexity
Suggests empathy and intelligence in how the calendar handles personal context
Positions scheduling as just the starting point and not the end goal

Morgen's marketing headline "Daily plans designed by AI, perfected by you" started out like many other H1s these day but ends up working well for these reasons:
Creates a collaborative relationship between AI and human rather than full automation
"Designed by AI" promises intelligent and automated planning without a heavy initial lift or manual effort from the user
"Perfected by you" maintains user control and acknowledges that personal preferences matter even when leveraging AI
The progression from AI design to human perfection suggests an ideal workflow that keeps the user in complete and final control
Appeals to people who possibly want to dabble with AI assistance while not being ready to give AI complete control
Subtly addresses concerns about AI making key decisions without final human input
Positions Morgen as a calendar enhancement rather than a complete replacement which makes it easier for potential users to give the tool a try with an open mind

Here are a handful of other amazing headlines that grabbed my attention in the past.
“Generate AI content that humans love to read” — Macaw
“Sell once. Profit twice.” — Bonus
“The best way to jam on email as a team.” — Jelly
