Conquer communication chaos

Campsite, Stream, Dribbble, Voicenotes and more

Hey there!

Welcome to H1 Gallerya collection of the best marketing headlines on the internet.

I’m overwhelmed with the crazy excitement and response that the announcement of this newsletter has received. I had originally planned on sending this first edition to maybe 50 subscribers.

There are now 475+ of you receiving this email. Crazy!

Apologies for getting this out later than expected as I’ve honestly been staring at a blank screen with a bit of imposter syndrome as I wondered if you all actually knew what you had signed up for.

I’d love any feedback you might have as I get this off the ground. Fill out the poll at the bottom or hit reply and let me know what you thought. It would mean a ton to me!

Enough rambling… let’s dive in!

P.S. In case you somehow found this newsletter from somewhere/someone other than me… I also publish another newsletter called Workspaces that I think you might also enjoy.

Conquer communication chaos

What makes a good H1 headline? Well it makes you stop scrolling immediately and also stands out above the design of the page itself.

That’s exactly what Campsite was able to do with their head line of “Conquer communication chaos”.

"Conquer" is a strong verb that evokes images of victory and mastery. It suggests that by using Campsite, users will gain control over their communication challenges. This empowering message appeals to professionals who feel overwhelmed by their current communication systems (ahem… Slack).

"Communication chaos" accurately identifies a common pain point in many workplaces. It acknowledges the frustration many people feel with disorganized and "always on" communication channels.

I’m pretty sure that Slack notification sound is permanently seared into my brain at this point.

And because marketing headlines don’t just appear out of thin air, I asked Campsite founder Brian Lovin to spill the tea.

We talked to all of our customers and one of the main ways that they described Campsite vs. other tools in our space like Slack is that Slack is chaotic while Campsite is organized and thoughtful.

The alliteration is also a nice touch.

While this is the headline we’ve settled on for now we will continue to tweak it as we continue to learn from our customers.

Brian Lovin, founder of Campsite

Agreed on the alliteration. 10/10 headline.

A sanctuary for your thoughts, ideas, and memories

Not often does a product that is still in a waitlist period have a headline that is able to grab my interest. I mean… really grab my interest.

But that’s exactly what Stream was able to do with their headline of “A sanctuary for your thoughts, ideas, and memories”.

A sanctuary for all of the things that I truly care about? Please tell me more.

Oh… right. The waitlist.

Well, whatever this actually is, they have my email and I can’t wait to learn more.

The rest of the best…

Here are four other amazing headlines that grabbed my attention this week.

“Give your team the gift of memory.”Voicenotes (my thoughts)

“The world’s destination for design.”Dribbble (my thoughts)

“Your shortcut to everything.”Raycast (my thoughts)

“Refreshingly simple project management.”Basecamp (my thoughts)
